Craigslist Adventures!

I'm lovin' Craiglist! The infant car seat sold in less than 24 hours and I was impressed. I put my breast pump on thinking no one would want it. THREE hours later it was sold and out the door! And I had more emails about that than anything else. I guess only asking $50 helped. If I had known there was any kind of interest I would've asked for a little more. Either way, I'm glad I sold it and that it will help someone. It wasn't doing anyone any good sitting in my closet. I also sold the cradle. I needed to get it out of the house cause it was so big but, at the same time, I felt bad about listing it cause it came from my brother and sister-in-law. I didn't ask much for it and it ended up going to a very young couple. Her mom bought it for them. Funny thing, they live 5 minutes from my house and the little area they are in is so completely different than my neighborhood. The streets are like alleys, no wider. And some of the houses were so run down I wondered if they were even inhabited anymore. When I talked to the Dad to be, I was struck by how much he sounded like my nephew Justin and how young he looked. He was probably 18 or older but looked 16 to me. I was tempted to give him back his money but he was very eager to hand it to me, and his mother in law was buying it for them. And everyone deserves a little bit of pride. The strange thing was, as I pulled up I felt myself go into "work" mode, like when I was with Healthy Families. This couple was much like the ones I saw in Maryland. I guess it never really leaves you, does it? Well, I'm putting more stuff on today so we'll see where Craigslist takes me next!
