The last couple of weeks I've been hard at work preparing for the
local consignment sale. It's a lot of work, sorting and cleaning things, but always worth it. I get rid of stuff that the kids don't need/wear anymore and I can go get great deals on stuff they need. Win/win, right? This year I volunteered to increase my earning percentage and to scope out the goodies in advance. Not to mention, volunteers shop earliest! So, Monday night I braved the crowd of mommies with a laundry basket, a list and a plan of action and boy, was I rewarded! I walked out $165 poorer but, shopping for both kids, I got....
- 9 pairs of PJs
- 11 shirts
- 6 sweaters
- 7 pairs of pants
- 2 sweatshirts
- 2 pairs of snow boots
- 2 pairs of shoes
- 2 dresses
- 10 books
- 2 sets of lacing activities
- 1 puzzle
- 1 DVD
- 1 game (Hungry Hungry Hippos new in the box! Score!)
- 1 Little People House from back in my day (That was more for me than the kids but they like it)
As of day, I have made more from the sale than I spent and that was my only goal. The sale is on today and tomorrow (50% off tomorrow!) so I have more time to sell my remaining items. Now I hopefully won't have to shop for the kids until Spring. The only thing Aidan needs for Winter is snow pants. Did I mention I LOVE a good deal!?!?!?
